We exist because God in his manifold mercies, desires to make himself known to the people of Old Town Portland, Oregon.
Our mission is to lead people into a whole hearted commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ; whole hearted worship and obedience to the only true God and Jesus Christ whom he sent us, and whole hearted participation in the life of god. Thereby effectively reaching this area with the gospel of God's Grace.

We believe the Bible is God's words to mankind.
The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God himself and is profitable for teaching and to help us see what is working in our lives. God's word corrects and trains us in right living. That the man of God may be complete, equipped by every good work.
"Every word of God is pure"
The words of the Lord are pure words; like silver tried in a furnace on the earth, purified seven times, you shall keep them, O' Lord."
JESUS CHRIST
We believe HE is the image of the invisible God, "There is one God and one mediator between God and Man, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself."
You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
The Holy Spirit
We believe Jesus sent another helper to abide. The Spirit of Truth that has come to glorify the Lord Jesus; make him, Jesus glorious to us, to convince men of sin, to impart God's own life to "Whosoever will," then to indwell, instruct, guide and empower them to live out the life of Jesus.
We believe there is one true God, eternally existing in three district persons, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! I am the Lord and there is no other, besides me there is no God. That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun that there is no one besides me. I am the Lord and there is no other. And the word was God. And the word became flesh and dwelt among us. But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit? You have not lied to men, but to God!"
Salvation
We believe the salvation (deliverance and preservation) of mankind is wholly, a work of God's free, unmerited grace, not the result, in whole or in part, of human works or goodness (bible reading, prayer, church attendance). Salvation must be personally received through repentance and faith in the "finished" work of Christ Jesus alone. We believe water baptism and the Lord's supper are to be observed by the church in obedience to the Lord Jesus. However, they have no merit whatsoever as a means of salvation.
Eternal Destiny
We believe those who have received the Lord Jesus, who have "been born again," "been saved," will be received into eternal communion with God, and in eternal life. Jesus Christ "saves us (believers) from the wrath to come." "The day of wrath and the revelation of the righteous judgement of God." There is no biblical warrant for speculations about a "second chance" after death. God is not willing that any should perish. He so loved the world that he gave his son that mankind would not have to suffer hell. God is abundant in mercy and has "no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his ways and live."
